Expanding our Reach

Sister Scholars are committed to working with other women and young girls to empower them to achieve. Our quarterly events help us to do this work.

Founded in October 2008, Sister Scholars is U.S. based organization for women of African descent who are pursuing their doctorates in various fields. We provide peer support and resources for the successful completion of the doctorate degree as well as placement in academic and other environments. We also seek to individually and collectively mentor other women who will one day seek to earn a doctorate.
