"I have been blessed by this group for over a year. The support and encouragement has kept me sane during my dissertation process."

What We Do

About Sister Scholars

Founded in 2008 in Atlanta, GA, we offer peer support for Black women who have received their doctorates or are currently completing their doctorate degrees in a variety of fields throughout the United States.

We offer virtual and physical space for building successful careers inside and outside of the academy. This happens through virtual writing groups, sharing resources, and periodic retreats. We help the next generation by giving back of our time and our resources in ways the spark the desire for academic excellence among young Black girls.
